Zoe is an NCTJ-trained journalist. Before writing novels, she worked as reporter for both regional and national papers. She was previously a reviewer of commercial women's fiction for Daily Express.

Zoe's travel writing has been published by Bradt in travel books, Roam Alone and The Irresponsible Traveller, Tales of Scrapes and Narrow Escapes. She was a finalist of The Independent on Sunday/Bradt Travel Writer of the Year Award, 2012.
